New morning

New morning was created in collaboration with violinist Juan Rossi. We composed and recorded this piece during the pandemic, each of us working in isolation, separated by distance but united through music.

The idea behind this song was a dialogue—a musical conversation about how we imagined the world would be after the pandemic. And, in many ways, it seems we were right.

​

The song is fast-paced, rhythmic, and carries a certain melancholy—a reflection of how the world returned much faster than expected. It didn’t take the time to embrace the moments of stillness and reflection that had been forced upon us. Instead of transformation, we watched as everything rushed back into motion, almost as if nothing had happened.

Yet, in its own way, the post-pandemic world still brought a new tomorrow, a new era for all of us—one that continues to unfold, moment by moment.
