I am I
Embracing Self-Acceptance.
I Am I is a song I composed during a period in my life when I needed to affirm my identity, embracing all my flaws, virtues, failures, defeats, and victories. I believe this is a universal experience; there are times when we must accept everything we are to move forward and become better for ourselves each day.
This song serves as a declaration: "I am who I am; shall we proceed this way?" I think everyone makes this proclamation at some point, or even multiple times, in their lives. Here, you can listen to my affirmation.
For the cover photo, I used an image of my hand and tattooed arm, which bear significant religious symbolism, submerged in the waters of Lagoa do Peri, my favorite place in the city where I live.
